The Scouting Report
In a doubleheader event against the Ohio Roller Girls, the Arch Rival Roller Girls will defend their home track in one of the best rivarlies in roller derby. In the opening bout, the ARRG All-Stars face off against Ohio’s best squad; a contest that has seen these teams trade wins over the last three years. The B-Teams take the track in the second bout, looking for their own retribution.
Arch Rival Roller Girls
In the fall of 2005, Sarah-Kate Buckles was visiting Chicago when she discovered her new passion: roller-derby. After watching the Windy City Rollers on her visit, she returned to St. Louis and hung fliers, contacted friends, and formed her own roller-derby team. Since then, the skater-owned and -operated league has grown into 100-person league split into four local squads and three travel squads.
