This summer on the Unity Tour 2012, 311 and Slightly Stoopid roll through the continent with their signature trippy reggae beats and distorted guitar thrashing. 311’s five-piece band broke out of Omaha in the mid-'90s with its blend of sing-along choruses and raspy lyrics, propelled into the microphone by dueling vocalists S.A. Martinez and Nick Hexum. Their triple-platinum, self-titled album scored the first and second spots on the Billboard charts with the guitar-soaked rap of “Down” and the funky bass of “All Mixed Up.” Slightly Stoopid throws similar rock-laced beats throughout a discography that stretches back to a self-titled release in 1996. During their live sets, guitar and conga players wander fearlessly along deep grooves into rambling jams, stretching the track in surprising directions, like a walrus trying to shimmy into sweatpants. Special guests Soja spreads its message of environmental awareness and social justice through brassy, loping reggae tracks.
Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.
