What You'll Get
Live music is a huge improvement on canned music, which takes up valuable pantry space and often spoils into noxious free jazz. Keep it fresh with this deal for general admission grandstand seating at Summer MixTape Fest at Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, August 17, and Saturday, August 18. The event begins at 5 p.m. on both nights, and gates open at 3:30 p.m. Choose from the following options:

Boy bands unite, re-unite, and re-re-unite at Summer MixTape Fest, where audiences fight back squeals of excitement as a two-day lineup of pop-music juggernauts embed their catchy songs in listeners’ collective consciousness. On Friday night, the multiplatinum New Kids on the Block hearken back to the late ‘80s, when their infectious blend of R & B, pop, and new-jack swing ruled radio airwaves, and their pictures could be found in the lockers of teenyboppers and city planners across the country. The piano-driven ballad rock of The Fray tugs on heartstrings with introspective songs such as “How to Save a Life” and “Run for Your Life,” before American Idol champ and two-time Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson’s robust, charismatic voice soars in hits such as “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and “Since U Been Gone.” The night’s schedule is rounded out by Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D, ‘80s metal throwback Steel Panther, and Carolina Liar, who penned the soulful “Show Me What I’m Looking For.”
On the heels of their 2011 blockbuster tour, the members of New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys join talents once again under the moniker NKOTBSB, returning on Saturday night for their only North American appearance of the year. Fellow boy band 98 Degrees turns up the heat with its first public performance since 2002, reacquainting ears to millennial hits “Invisible Man” and “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).” Hip-hop icon LL Cool J shares the stage with DJ Z-Trip and LL Cool J’s abs in an animated set that chronicles the rapper’s more than 25-year music career. Other acts include the chipper, ubiquitous Carly Rae Jepsen (“Call Me Maybe”) and The Ready Set, author of endlessly upbeat jams such as “Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)” and “Love Like Woe.”
