A Guide to Gameday at Jordan-Hare Stadium
- Show up two hours early for the often imitated, but never duplicated Tiger Walk, in which the Tigers trek from the Athletics Complex down Donahue Drive to the stadium, all surrounded by thousands of cheering fans
- Dazzle your friends with stadium facts and figures. Here’s a good start: Opened in 1939 with puny capacity of 7,500. Current capacity of 87,451 makes it the 10th largest stadium in the NCAA. Named from Ralph “Shugg” Jordan (who still holds the most wins as Auburn’s head coach) and former player Cliff Hare. Impressive noise and intensity level creates a homefield advantage, giving the Tigers a .798 winning percentage at home over the last 65 years.
- Gameday can be busy so consider public transportation for your commute to the stadium. Tiger Transit runs special game day routes for all fans, free of charge. Buses begin pickup four hours prior to kickoff and returns fans for up to two hours after the game, with pickups at War Eagle Way by the Village Residence Halls.
