Bar J Wranglers
The spirits of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Tex Ritter smile upon the Bar J Wranglers. Having ridden their chuck wagon from Wyoming to the high plains of Utah, the quintet looks as though they've stepped right out of a 1940s Western: their hats are white, their shirts crisp, and their ties vintage. They also seem to have a permanent grin that comes from doing what they love or remembering jokes whispered by their horses. In a classic, family-friendly act that has charmed such luminaries as Randy Travis and even Mr. Roy Rogers himself, the Bar J boys bring audiences around the campfire to hear lone prairie tunes and stories. Steered by expert musicianship—with the brothers Humphey on acoustic guitar, award-winning fiddler Tim Hodgson, banjo and flat-top guitarist Donnie Cook, and the undertow bass of singer/guitarist Danny Rogers—the Wranglers ring in the holidays with classic tunes, home-spun ranch humor, and harmonies richer than the gold up in them thar hills.
