Bernie and Red, Comedy Duo
Bernie and Red both grew up in Liverpool surrounded by music, but it wasn’t until they moved to Canada that they made it their profession, having gotten out from the shadow of The Beatles. The married couple began playing their comic ditties as holiday parties for friends. Soon, people began requesting performances, and their amusing hobby became a full-time profession, taking them around the world on cruise ships and to every state and province in North America. The pair deals in pure, old-fashioned showmanship, filling their act with comedy songs, parodies, yarns, sketches, and occasional earnest ballads.
Branson’s House of Comedy
Branson, Missouri’s first operating theater was opened by no less a personage than the mayor at the time, the honorable Jim Owen. Local socialites and celebrities were known to gather there, and so were groups arriving after a trip down the White River. Today, the place has been reimagined as an entertainment club featuring comedy acts, musical tributes, laser shows, and renowned audience impersonators.
