Pretty mediocre. Lots of waiting. Tour script is standard with nothing outside of the normal.

I know traffic was a problem, but we did not see the front of the White House… these busses are not set up for hot weather… need more ventilation. The worst was the music… the same few musical scores played over and over! Yuck

The tour was okay. Overall round trip is only about 90 minutes. Unfortunately, the original brochure had about 18 stops on the red line route, but apparently they made changes and there were just 10. COVID seems to have still been an issue in DC and many venues weren't open still or required advance timed reservations. We didn't end up getting off the bus to explore any of the stops but used it to get a lay of the land. We also bought the two day pass to be able to do the night tour, however, they didn't run the night tour on the evening we planned on doing it.

About Big Bus Tours

Three separate tour loops give patrons of Big Bus Tours a chance to see as many of D.C.'s incredible sights as their minds can handle—and there's plenty of fresh air thrown in for free. Hop-on, hop-off privileges give visitors to the city (or residents looking at it with new eyes) a chance to pop out to see the Lincoln Memorial, then re-board at their convenience to journey toward one of the other beautiful, historic marble landmarks that dot the city. But you don't have to leave the bus to enjoy the sunshine: the double-decker tops offers riders the chance to slap on some sunscreen, grab their shades, and feel the wind blow through their hair as softly as it laced through President Washington's straw-filled ponytail.
