Black Creek Bowl Association
Middleburg was founded on the banks of the Black Creek tributary, and it is the focus of Black Creek Bowl Association’s mission, which is to increase positive public awareness of the landscape and culture of this historic community. The Association aims to achieve this by partnering with local businesses, organizations, and schools, as well as through events like the Black Creek 5K/10K marathons. The proceeds from this and other events provide supplemental college scholarships to Clay County graduating seniors, including the David White Memorial Scholarship, which honors Middleburg High School alumnus and Clay County Sheriff’s Office Detective David White, who died in the line of duty.

About Black Creek 10K
It's fitting that a cannon sounds the kickoff of the Black Creek 5K: this annual run was founded in part to honor historic Middleburg. For that reason, the race course winds through this picturesque part of town. In keeping with local pride, proceeds from this family-friendly event benefit a scholarship foundation for Clay County graduating seniors.
