Seventeen. With 17 titles to their name, the Boston Celtics have won more championships than any other franchise in professional basketball. Their championship legacy includes an unprecedented stretch between 1957 and 1969, when the team won 11 of 13 NBA Finals and nearly required the city to convert the entire arena into a trophy case. A charter member of the NBA-precursor Basketball Association of America, the Celtics have called Boston their home since 1946, and, over the decades since, the Celtics have had more than 30 members of the Basketball Hall of Fame suit up as players or coaches.
