Bounce Back: The Story of Ronnie Fields

Bounce Back: The Story of Ronnie Fields Official Trailer

In his prime at Farragut Academy, Ronnie Fields was poised to be a household name on par with Michael Jordan or Lebron James. ESPN HS hailed him as the "Best Freshman in the Country" during the '92–'93 season; he was the first sophomore to play in the Nike All American camp's "Best of the Best" game in 1993; and it was reported that he had a 50-inch vertical leap.

Then Ronnie Fields broke his neck.

In his senior year, when it seemed like the NBA was within reach, an almost-fatal car accident clipped his wings and changed the game. Director Thatcher Kamen's Bounce Back: The Story of Ronnie Fields tells of the man who, despite all odds, refuses to be benched. The inspring cinematic labor of love, partially funded by a [Kickstarter](http://gr.pn/18geWQr) campaign, details Ronnie's rise, fall, and recovery with incisive interviews from players such as Mike Bibby, Scoop Jackson, Vince Carter, and Ronnie's former teammate Kevin Garnett.

The WWE Universe's David Otunga hosts the premiere screening in association with the inner-city children's nonprofit [By The Hand Club for Kids](http://bythehand.org). Along with the show will be a musical performance by DeMarco Castle, who sings the movie's theme song "Ronnie Feels." Afterward, fans can meet and greet the real Ronnie Fields and hopefully catch some of his indomitable spirit.
