The Scouting Report

Last summer, the Burlingame Dragons made their debut in the Premier Development League. They also made quite a first impression, filling what was a blank resumé with a list of accomplishments that includes:

  • An 11–2–3 record and the most wins in the Western Conference
  • A Southwest Division championship
  • A trip to the conference semi-finals
  • An attendance mark in the top 10% of the league

At the end of spring, when the offseason ends and the league’s soccer balls have finished molting, the Dragons will swoop back into action during its regular-season matches. The club will most likely have some new faces, too, though its roster will still feature U-23 players from NCAA Division I and II, and NAIA programs, hoping to climb the ranks to Major League Soccer.
