Performed by a wily band of comedians who have toured the country, Bye Bye Liver: The Philadelphia Drinking Play is an interactive sketch-comedy show that celebrates the consumption of adult beverages. Each performance flows through a series of vignettes parodying the intoxicating world of drinking, barhopping, and male-female relations. Many interactive games played during the show break down the fourth wall of the theater, fusing the estranged cast and audience into a familiar bunch of suds-soaked pals. All shows are for those 21 and older in accordance with the US Declaration of Independence.
Guests sidle up to Urban Saloon’s wooden bar to sample inventive pub fare and sip brews from a 12-tap system. The bar’s interior lives up to its name, accented with exposed brick, high ceilings, and a jukebox cheerily singing classic rock by Janis Joplin and Billy Joel. Should visitors require additional entertainment along with their brews, flat screen televisions broadcast major games, and a calendar of events enlivens evenings.
