This was a great experience. I wish I had pirate gear to dress up in! It was amazing seeing everyone young and older participating in the festivities.

This event is clearly growing and in the right direction. Great variety of performers and vendors this year. It's still a little small for a destination or full day event unless you're really, really into it but I am and I keep coming back each yera.

The whole thing was kind of ruined by the fact that there was only 1 food seller, and it took nearly an hour from the time we got into line until we got food. And, the line wasnt even that long. In addition, they were not allowed to sell drinks. They said the event people would not let them because they wanted people to go to the location where alcohol was also sold.

I'm sorry to say this was a flop.
The folx working the festival were wonderfully festive and beautifully dressed. The offerings were few and far between. While the shows were technically free, each performer was asking for donations, and all of the other activities/games cost about $4 each, so I never put my wallet away. Oh, and parking in a dirt lot was $5.
Bust. :-(
