What You’ll Do
Just in time for holiday entertaining, professional chef Carol Pock leads a two-hour workshop that helps you prepare to make festive feasts of your own. These hands-on lessons teach three recipes, including a salad, an entree, and a dessert. The session’s “no phone” policy ensures that you’ll be able to cook distraction-free, and you’ll leave with printed instructions on recreating each dish.
Salad: roasted butternut squash, quinoa, pomegranate, and arugula salad with a honey-lime dressing
Entree: crispy terra-chip chicken breast
Dessert: grilled pound cake with chocolate-raspberry sauce
When Carol Pock’s husband was unexpectedly diagnosed with coronary artery disease, it was a wake-up call for the chef. The experience steered her toward a more health-conscious culinary style, an approach she continues to share in cooking classes and through her cookbook, Recipes for the Heart, Morsels for the Soul. Carol has also imparted tips on television shows such as ABC’s Good Morning Texas and CBS’s Positively Texas.
