The Scouting Report

Before the 2014 off-season arrives—and with it a name change back to the Hornets—the Bobcats prowl the court during a March bout with the Brooklyn Nets and April matchups against the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. With just more than a month before the playoffs begin, the Bobcats are in position to earn a postseason berth, but could use every victory they can get to solidify their spot. This makes the April contests with Orlando and Philly must-wins, and a victory over Brooklyn can help the Bobcats climb in the playoff standings and receive the gift baskets awarded to higher seeds.

Charlotte Bobcats

The Bobcats made their NBA debut in the 2004–05 season. The franchise gradually improved its performance every year until the 2009–10 season, when they posted their first above-.500 record and first playoff appearance. The team makes its den in Time Warner Cable Arena, where 20,000 fans cheer and taunt the players with cans of tuna to intensify their hunger for a league title.
