Need more than one person working the ticket booth before the show begins.

Seattle Musical Theatre performs its shows in an intimate 400-seat theater in Magnuson Park, paying homage to the grand tradition of the American musical by showcasing local and national talent in a repertoire of tuneful favorites. In the stirring musical A Chorus Line, the winner of nine Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize, curtains rise on a stage crowded with 17 dancers auditioning for a role in a Broadway show. As the dancers execute their finest kicks, songs, and vaudeville-hook dodges, the story zooms in on each artist’s varied struggles and dreams, from an aging star’s desperation to stay relevant to a New York newcomer’s battle with shyness. Audiences enjoy laughs at love’s expense in the romantic musical comedy I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, which dissects the agonies and joys of dating, marriage, and affairs. With its entertaining buffet of romance, 1980s fashion, and suburban satire, the show treats attendees to more hearty laughs and sympathetic grimaces than an evening of charades with Charlie Chaplin.
