Chronicle of a Death Foretold
Adapted from the fact-based novella by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez, Chronicle of a Death Foretold is a taut tale of scandal and tragedy in a small Colombian town. Angela Vicario is a woman forced to marry against her will…but immediately sent back to her mother in shame after her new husband discovers she’s not a virgin. After being forced to reveal the name of the man (Santiago Nasar) who first defiled her purity, Angela’s twin brothers embark on mission of vengeance to restore the family honor. And the villagers know of their plans, but do nothing to stop it, as Márquez’s examination of antiquated moral codes and rampant passion keeps audiences on their edge of their seats.
