A Charlie Brown Christmas: Unscripted
Based on Charles Schulz’s beloved yuletide staple, A Charlie Brown Christmas: Unscripted brings new life to the story through improvisation. Though the general structure remains familiar, audience suggestions subvert the standard characters and situations, creating unexpectedly hilarious consequences. Linus may trade in his blanket for a can of soup, Lucy may have taken up go-go dancing instead of psychiatry, and Snoopy might not be a dog at all. Though the characters might be grade-schoolers, every show is strictly for audiences 17 and older because of repeated swear words filtered through a trombone.
Star Warz: UNSCRIPTED
Based on George Lucas’s sci-fi opus, Star Warz: UNSCRIPTED reinvents the first (but technically fourth) chapter, Star Wars: A New Hope, through improvisation. Although the general structure remains familiar, audience suggestions subvert the characters and situations, creating unexpectedly hilarious consequences. C-3PO might shirk his protocol programming for shenanigans; Luke could substitute bad poetry for his powers of the Force; Han Solo could be a duo. The UNSCRIPTED series will be a departure from ComedySportz’s usually clean format, with adult-oriented language and graphic miming, and is limited to adults older than 17.
