About Southern California Railway Museum
The non-profit Southern California Railway Museum has been preserving Southern California’s railway history since 1956. Home to over 200 historic railway cars and locomotives from Los Angeles and the West, the Museums 90-acre site in Perris, California is open to the public every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Explore the West’s largest collection of railway locomotives, passenger and freight cars, streetcars, interurban electric cars, buildings, and other artifacts dating from the 1870s. Visit the Fred Harvey Museum in our Archive Facility and learn about the Harvey Girls, the women who helped to “civilize the American Southwest.”
Railway trains operate every weekend—visit us to experience a day of family fun exploring the large grounds and riding the trains and trolleys that helped create the Southern California we know today. Check our Event Calendar for a list of special events, including steam train operations.
