Denton Enterprise Airport
Each summer, Denton Enterprise Airport summons aircraft enthusiasts and casual spectators alike for the Denton Air Show’s high-flying feats and static aircraft displays. This year treats attendees to performances by professional pilots, such as Ray Kinney in his World War ll P-40 Warhawk, in high-performance aerobatics. Andrew Wright, on the other hand, pilots his Giles 202 through barrel rolls of 500 degrees per second and swift turns at speeds of up to 250 miles per hour. Flight of the Phoenix, Trojan Phylers, and Texas Twisters also offer up aerial ballets for fans of skillfully choreographed skydancing.
On the ground, aircraft displays include an L-39C Albatross, a T-6G Texan, and a P-40 Warhawk. Onlookers can get up close and personal, snapping pictures of engines, wings, and landing gear, or inspecting the planes for performance-enhancing feathers. Though not included with this Groupon, tickets to a breakfast and photo opportunity with pilots at 8:30 a.m. are available for an additional fee at the gate. All proceeds of this breakfast benefit a children’s home.
