Extreme athletes such as BMXers & skateboarders compete for Dew Cup dominance over four days of ramp- & gravel-traversing thrills.
Few feelings can match the adrenaline rush that comes with a first kiss, whether it's shared with a high-school crush or a concrete ramp. Watch athletes chase that fleeting sensation with today’s GrouponLive deal: for $8, you get one grounds pass to the Dew Tour Toyota Challenge (a $15 value before fees, or up to a $25.25 value online, including all ticketing fees) at EnergySolutions Arena on September 8–11. Grounds passes grant access to the Dew Tour event site and, venue space permitting, viewing at the competition venues. All passes also include free admission for Thursday, September 8, in addition to admission on one of the following dates:
• Friday, September 9
• Saturday, September 10
• Sunday, September 11
Extreme athletes band together in a quest for higher elevations at the Dew Tour Toyota Challenge, where bikers explore the summits of dirt-packed ramps and skaters mine the depths of their abilities to uncover yet-to-be-landed tricks. In its seventh consecutive season and fifth appearance at the EnergySolutions Arena, the tour hosts a whirlwind schedule of BMX, skateboard, and FMX riding that begins with qualifiers on Thursday and ends with the asphalt-grinding action of Sunday’s final rounds. Now that the space program has disbanded, skater Bucky Lasek carries the torch for aspiring astronauts with his gravity-defying stunts in the skate vert. The sun refuses to set on British BMX legend Jamie Bestwick, who looks to continue his Dew Cup dominance. BMX Dirt Big Air and street events round out the foot-powered action, and Friday’s freestyle motocross drivers peel around corners for the privilege of being showered with a cooler of ice-cold Mountain Dew.
Between events, spectators can level out their frenetic pulse rates with a stroll through the festival village, then stop by the live, thematically appropriate concert draws Friday’s events to a close. As grounds passes permit viewing only as venue capacity allows, be sure to arrive early to catch a glimpse of athletes trying to stick elusive triple impossibles and kick-flips on their wizard-powered hoverboards.
Schedule and athlete appearances are subject to change.
