Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY
- The Experience: tracks from the stirring soundtrack to the FINAL FANTASY video game series, given the live symphony treatment in front of a screen showing clips from the game, cutscenes, and supplemental media such as Advent’s Children
- The Games: This concert spotlights mid-to-latter-day games, starting with a theme song medley from FINAL FANTASY VI and the climactic track “Jenova Complete” from FINAL FANTASY VII and running up to two vocal tracks from the most recent release, FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- The Star: Besides members of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and guest conductor Arnie Roth, the show features vocals by Susan Calloway, who originally performed the “Distant Worlds” theme from FINAL FANTASY XI, and returned for FINAL FANTASY XIV at the personal behest of composer Nobuo Uematsu.
