What You'll Get
Like wine, jazz is a careful blend of notes, the perfect accompaniment to a romantic dinner, and best enjoyed when provided by a stranger on the sidewalk. Savor tunes and tannins with today’s deal: for $10, you get one admission and one glass of wine or beer at Ecopalooza: A Wine & Jazz Solar Concert held at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Saturday, July 23 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (up to a $35 value).
Ecopalooza unites fashion, wine, and jazz in a symphony of sun-fueled fundraising at Pioneer Courthouse Square. The entirely solar-powered festival begins with a stylish eco-fashion show showcasing sustainable dud designs. As local wineries and breweries pour samples of their artisanal tipples, a lineup of jazz virtuosos, including two-time Grammy winner Shannon Sanders with R & B saxophonists Patrick Lamb and Devin Phillips, will trounce across the stage in a whirlwind of syncopation. Prolific Motown drummer Mel Brown, whose beats have accompanied Diana Ross and The Temptations, will also tickle festival-goers’ gray matter as he rhythmically taps out Morse-code instructions for harnessing the sun’s rays to power eco-friendly dog sleds. Proceeds from the concert will join donations from concert sponsor Bonneville Environmental Foundation and their Solar 4R Schools program to install solar panels in a Portland high school.
Although Ecopalooza sometimes features a discounted price online, this deal still offers the best deal available.
