  • History: For nearly a decade the Ecuadorian Film Showcase in New York presented films from the diverse people and landscapes of Ecuador. The first edition of EFFNY brings Ecuadorian motion pictures to the Tribeca Cinemas
  • Notable Films: Silencio en La Tierra de Los Sueños (Silence in Dreamland), which tells the story of an elderly woman’s dreamworld escape from loneliness; Sin Otoño, Sin Primavera (No Autumn, No Spring), an expose on middle-class youth in coastal Guayaquil; Resonancia (Resonance), a film about a guitar maker
  • Don’t Miss: Feriado (Holiday), a coming-of-age tale set in the Andes right before the country’s bank collapse
