What You'll Get
Virtually nothing can defeat the raw power of rock music, with the possible exception of paper music. Pump your fist with this deal to see Spin Doctors at Empire City at Yonkers Raceway in Yonkers. The concert is located outside, next to the racetrack. For $24, you get two tickets for reserved tiered seating on Sunday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m. (up to a $48.56 value, including all fees). Doors open at 5 p.m.
If you want to see Spin Doctors, just go ahead now. If you want to hear every song from their quintuple-platinum debut album, especially hits such as “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and the irresistibly catchy and currently referenced “Two Princes,” just go ahead now. Out on the first full tour since the roaring ‘90s, the Grammy-nominated band performs the deluxe 20th anniversary edition of Pocket Full of Kryptonite, taking a festive trip through every track of its funky breakthrough. With all four original members intact, the band shows off the chemistry of a long-married couple, then rocks out like philandering marriage counselors. Lead singer Chris Barron’s bluesy bellow and witty asides charm audiences, and Mark White’s bass, Aaron Comess’s drums, and Eric Schenkman’s hot-sauce riffs steer a set rife with sing-alongs and rarities for diehard spin patients.
