The Scouting Report
Through the first quarter of its 2013 season, Carolina has established one of the best rushing attacks in the league. Not to be outdone, the team’s defense hasn’t been too shabby, either. Both sides proved their potency during a week-three victory on September 22. In front of a home crowd, Carolina posted the most lopsided victory in franchise history, stomping New York 38-0. During that game, the offense racked up nearly 200 yards on the ground, and the defense hunted the opposing team’s quarterback like a pack of children do a runaway piñata, collecting seven sacks in the process. As the season presses forward, Carolina looks for similar dominating performances to climb the standings as they face conference rivals St. Louis and Tampa Bay in the coming weeks.
