Celebrating the splendorous sounds of show tunes, the Meadow Brook Music Festival presents revues of cherished Broadway numbers, lovingly produced to thrill fans of all ages. Composer Neil Berg along with a cast of Broadway stars recreate the experience of strolling the Great White Way with two showcases stuffed with memorable sing-alongs. At 2 p.m., Family Day on Broadway casts an afternoon spell on wee tykes and their caretakers, as revved-up, revived anthems culled from children’s musicals such as Annie, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins stir parental nostalgia and enchant offspring more thoroughly than the neighborhood warlock.

At 8 p.m., 100 Years of Broadway skews toward theater aficionados with treasures from masters such as Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, and a cast of ringers duplicating musical moments from hits such as CATS, The Phantom of the Opera, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Like a condensed can of New York City, both of these revues give generations the best of Broadway without the menace of marauding gangs of opera ghosts.
