A man encounters a young widow and her four sons. Next stop: Neverland. Inspired by real events and based on the Oscar-winning film of the same name, Finding Neverland follows J.M. Barrie as the four young boys—Jack, George, Michael, and Peter—inspire him to create one of the greatest fantasy epics of all time, while their mother inspires him to become a better man.
Ushered onto the Great White Way under the direction of four-time Tony-winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Hair), this production features a cast so studded with stars, it may be difficult to discern which one is second to the right. There’s Matthew Morrison (Glee’s Will Schuster) as the writer’s-blocked Barrie, and Olivier-winner Laura Michelle Kelly from Sweeney Todd as the widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies. Two-time Tony nominee Terrence Mann—who originated the roles of Javert in Les Misérables and Beast in Beauty and the Beast—rounds out the principal players as Charles Frohman, the theatrical producer who reluctantly agrees to let a little magic into the world.
