The Scouting Report
On the heels of a solid 2013 campaign in which they earned a playoff berth, the Miracle have started the 2014 season off on a winning note. In the season-opener on April 3, the Miracle traveled to Jupiter and dominated the Hammerheads—a South Division rival—in a 5–1 victory to open this year’s campaign. Starting pitcher Justin Wheeler hurled 5.2 solid innings, and eight Miracle players had at least one hit in the contest, including a triple from centerfielder Max Kepler. The club will look to sustain that offensive balance as the season wears on.
