It is a smaller museum but the experience was wonderful. One exhibit was closed but the ones that were open were moving and impactful. Very safe and everyone followed protocol.

Loved this museum. The exhibits were thought provoking. I especially liked Martin Schoeller photos of men and women that were wrongly accused and were on death row. As you moved around the exhibit you saw a close up and heard their stories in their words. Powerful Loved the beauty of Cooper and Gorfer photos. Andres Serrano- infamous definitely makes you think and reflect on the past.

Loved exploring this museum. Have been a fan of the Stockholm original and this did not disappoint. Thoughtfully curated and creatively and impact fully executed. They take extra precautions to social distance and limit visitors. A must do of NYC museums!

About Fotografiska

Founded in Stockholm in 2010, Fotografiska quickly became an internationally renowned destination for photography. This success allowed it to expand to Tallin, Estonia and to New York City, where it's located in a historic six-floor landmark building in the Flatiron District. The museum aims to inspire a more conscious world through the medium of photography by showcasing the works of both established and emerging artists. Its mission is to always stay an inclusive place that cultivates self expression and artistic innovation. With over 220 exhibitions to date globally (including Ren Hang, Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Sally Man, Bettina Rheims and many more artists), the museum does not have a permanent collection and is constantly changing its exhibits. Thanks to that, they are able to respond quickly to the current social issues.
