The 2011 San Antonio International Farm and Ranch Expo hosts the Texas Tractor Pulling Extravaganza, a two-day competition where Pro Stock drivers of the Texas Truck and Tractor Pullers Association lug a set weight in their vehicle’s sledge, or sled, in an attempt to earn more points than their fellow motorists. The winner of the competition is the tractor driver who can pull their sledge the farthest, fastest, and with the most weight added. Drivers who earn the most points and tractors that visibly gain the most muscle mass by the end of the pulling season are awarded with a State Championship award and commemorative jacket. Guests are encouraged to ask their favorite pullers for autographs, photos, and unwanted bumper crops before and after the competition.
