Gracie & Lacy
How they got started: At the ages of 10 and 8, Gracie and Lacy directed and produced their first musical using a cast of 15 neighborhood kids. They even hung a bed sheet across their home’s garage door to create their own driveway theatre, which soon became known around town as Broadway on the Driveway.
What to expect: Glitz, glamour, and plenty of pizzazz. The sisters pack their retro shows with tight harmonies, tap dancing, comedy bits, and classic music from the WWII and big band eras.
To Charleston, With Love: In this variety-show valentine to Charleston, Gracie and Lacy pay tribute to the great swing kings of the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s, including George Gerswhin, Irving Berlin, and Cole Porter.
The Cause:To Charleston, With Love will also serve as a donation site for My Sister’s House, a non-profit that provides services, homes, and resources to victims of domestic violence. Details: www.gracieandlacy.com
