Great Lakes Steelpan Festival
The Instrument: Invented in Trinidad and Tobago and originally made from 55-gallon steel drums, the pans create a sunny, melodic sound all their own
The Workshops: Participants can learn about the development of the instrument, attend a Q&A with members of Potts & Pans, or learn to build a pan program in their schools
The Concert: A mid-afternoon rehearsal preps all participants for the group concert, which concludes the festivities
