The Scouting Report
This season the Storm are celebrating their 25th year on the ice—and they’re looking to give a performance worthy of the occasion. On the Saturday before Christmas, they’ll square off against the Steelheads during a matinee at the Sleeman Center. Right wing Givani Smith, who leads the team in points, will join left wing James McEwan, who leads in goals, to reestablish the momentum that led to an OHL championship in 2014. Together they’re a bigger threat to opposing goalies than the piranhas circling just beneath the crease’s surface.
