In their ninth season, the Gwinnett Gladiators’ roster of puck-punishing skatesmen storm their home ice under the auspicious direction of new head coach John Wroblewski, whose gold-medal past will hopefully propel the Gladiators to their seventh playoff appearance. With two premium-level seats, ticketholders have a choice at several views from within the arena. Hockey heads can survey the entire rink from center ice, hear the flick of slap shots from blue-line seats, smell the sweet aroma of competitive play from behind the benches, feel the rumble of the boards after a full-body check in the low corners, or taste the ice from below the zamboni.
In the autograph booth on November 6, visitors can catch forwards Justin Milo and Colin Vock, and on November 18 they can steal signatures from the pair of goalies, Marc Cheverie and Jeff Jakaitis. On December 11, the Sing for Santa promotion posits a panel of bearded St. Nicks to judge a capella singers, ultimately deciding who is naughty, who is nice, and who is destined to duet someday with the fourth runner-up on American Idol.
