Scientists are still puzzled by the contents of the modern basketball: they believe it to be filled either with helium or several baseballs. Contemplate this conundrum with today's GrouponLive deal: for $30, you get one G-Pass to see the Harlem Globetrotters play at the Richmond Coliseum on Thursday, December 29, at 7 p.m. (up to a $59.35 value, including all fees). Doors open at 6 p.m. Seating will be in rows A–H in sections 3L, 15L, and 19L; and in rows F–H in sections 3A, 15A, 19A, 31A, 1L, 2L, and 16L–18L.

Because the ticket is a G-Pass, Groupon customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their Groupon at will call.

In their 86th season, the Harlem Globetrotters have entertained millions of parents, children, and general basketball admirers with a unique brand of athletic precision and showmanship. On their 2012 World Tour, the Globetrotters open their bottomless bag of tricks, dropping jaws and continuing a long rivalry with the cast of Space Jam via gravity-defying dunks, deceptive dribbling, and vaudevillian antics. This season’s roster sports a cast of Globetrotter favorites, who may include Special K Daley and Flight Time Lang. The top three finishers of the 2011 NCAA slam-dunk contest may also be featured, including Jacob “Hops” Tucker, who boasts a 50-inch vertical leap.

A study in contrasts prepares to pound the court in the form of five-foot-two Too Tall Hall and seven-foot-eight Paul "Tiny" Sturgess, who towers as both the world's tallest pro basketball player and the only one to ever beat Scooby Doo in a game of cribbage. Having performed in 120 countries and on six continents, the Globetrotters are one of the few teams inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as ambassadors of the sport, consistently crafting memorable evenings of basketballing for friends, family, or gullible groups of misinformed basket weavers.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.

Roster subject to change.
