• Adam Sandler: After skyrocketing to comedic fame on SNL in the 1990s thanks to characters including Opera Man and Canteen Boy and a penchant for writing and performing original songs, Sandler’s further earned his household name status with a slew of films such as Happy Gilmore, 50 First Dates, and the critically-acclaimed Punch-Drunk Love.
• Rob Schneider: From 1988–1994, years before he introduced the world to The Hot Chick and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, the mischievous Schneider made his mark on SNL with recurring characters such as Richard “The Richmeister” Laymer and The Sensitive Naked Man. He can now be seen returning to his standup roots between bi-monthly Adam Sandler films.
• Tim Meadows: A fixture of SNL with a remarkable tenure of ten seasons (1991–2000), the Chicago-bred standup and improviser is best known to late-night viewers as Leon Phelps, the lascivious, lisping “Ladies Man.” In the years since, he’s shown up in comedies such asThe Benchwarmers, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and Grown Ups between drop-in improv appearances and standup sets across the country.
• Norm Macdonald: This SNL veteran, who’s gained cult status with films such as Dirty Work, hosted his own acclaimed podcast, and served as a judge on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, applies his dry absurdity to topics as trivial as pop culture and as daunting as the specter of mortality.
