Highwood Craft Beer Festival

Few cities have embraced the microbrew boom like Chicago, and the Highwood Craft Beer Festival showcases an ensemble cast of the city’s finest craft breweries. Though the festival’s 80 unique beers hail from more than 40 breweries from throughout the midwest, the bulk of the libations were brewed in the Windy City. As guests groove to live music from Almost Joe and Snafu, they can savor pours from local vendors including Goose Island, Revolution, and Finch’s Beer Co., whose founder talked to the Groupon Guide about the company’s environmentally friendly canning process. Food samples from local restaurants help guests maintain a healthy thirst for beers such as Ale Asylum’s Ambergeddon, which the company described as a drink with an “evil side” when interviewed by the Groupon Guide.
