Dave Matthews Tribute Band

Dave Matthews Tribute Band performing "Trippin' Billies"

The name says it all. The Chattanooga six-piece Dave Matthews Tribute Band has just one mission, erasing any room for misinterpretation by eschewing standard tribute-band monikers such as Crash Into Us!. As one of the few nationally touring DMB cover acts, the group has shared the mellow but funky spirit of its namesake with college campuses across the country, approaching songs such as “Satellite” and “What Would You Say” with reverence. Although singer Ryan Clifford nails Dave Matthews’s creamy croon while his band falls into DMB’s signature grooves, the Dave Mathews Tribute Band doesn’t just Xerox the hits. What sets the musicians apart is their ability to jam, sending improvised flourishes spiraling out from fan favorites.
