A Guide to Gameday at Florida Citrus Bowl
Dazzle your friends with stadium facts and figures. Here’s a good start: Completed in 1936 through FDR’s Works Progress Administration. Seating capacity: 65,000. $207.7 million spent in reconstruction. Two bunker suites in the north endzone. 1.6 million pounds of concrete in the plaza deck.
Gameday can be busy so consider the free shuttle, which drops off a block away from the stadium. The shuttle isn’t offered for all events, so make sure to check first.
Show up early for the food. The stadium includes all the traditional options as well as more unexpected cuisine, from chicken tinga tacos, sausage po’ boys, and local beer-braised brats.
