What You’ll Do
Artists can find inspiration anywhere—sometimes it comes when they reconnect with an old friend and sometimes it’s growing right out of the ground. During her two-hour workshop, designer Jenny Dey teaches you to harvest both, transforming local flora into designs for greeting cards.
Print Your Own Greeting Cards
Using paper, fabric, and leaves for your designs, print four 4”x5.5” greeting cards (with envelopes), which you can take home at the end of the session.
Take Up the Tools of the Trade
Jenny supplies everything needed, including paper, fabric, aprons, and gloves.
Toast to Your Finished Work
Bring beer or a bottle of wine from home; snacks will be provided.
Jenny Dey discovered printing in high school, and thus began a love affair that’s let her touch people in almost all 50 states and several other countries. After mastering presses and screen printing, she started her own company, Look! Something Cute, which sells original designs online as well as in stores in Baltimore and Chicago. Her works have also been exhibited in galleries including The Metro and The Hexagon.
