Jenny McCarthy & Friends

Jenny McCarthy certainly isn’t shy. The former Playboy model is known for her outspoken personality, a trait that has made her equally at home hosting MTV’s Singled Out, appearing in BASEketball and numerous TV shows, and authoring books on motherhood. So it’s no surprise that she’s taking her bold wit on the road with her latest tour, a live comedy show spotlighting female standups. During each performance, McCarthy and her fellow talents wax hilarious on topics ranging from sex and dating to female empowerment, weaving in multimedia vignettes that touch on similarly humorous concerns.

Wilbur Theatre

From the street, the Wilbur Theatre looks almost like it could be a stately old family home. In fact, the Colonial-style building was always a theater, but its exterior details were copied directly from Beacon Hill’s Thomas Bailey Midrich House when it was built in 1914. Even in the elegant auditorium, there’s a sense of homey intimacy. Seating nestles right up to the stage so audiences can feel every note produced by the musicians and hear the tiny gears turning behind comedians’ foreheads as they improvise.
