Laughter is the spark of the soul, which is why comedians can light up rooms during a blackout but cannot be left unattended at gas stations. Enjoy crackling wit with today's GrouponLive deal: for $13, you get one general-admission ticket to How to Become President and Save the World, featuring Jim McCue, at Headliners Comedy Club at the Radisson Hotel Manchester Downtown in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Friday, January 6, at 9:30 p.m. (up to a $27.37 value, including fees). Doors open at 9 p.m.

Known for his appearances on Comedy Central and NBC's Last Comic Standing, Boston comedian Jim McCue puts the New Hampshire presidential primaries in his sardonic sights with How to Become President and Save the World, a one-man tour-de-farce skewering the current political climate. A veteran of the standup circuit with hundreds of USO shows under his belt of whoopee cushions, McCue uses his crackerjack timing and gift of audience interplay to make every performance unique. The comic takes on the role of presidential life coach and congressional Lamaze sensei, tackling touchy subjects in a gutsy set of relentless guffaws. Gouging laughs from fickle matters such as presidential height proportions and foreign policy, McCue eschews notions that Republicans don’t have a sense of humor and can eat their weight in lava.
