Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Can this voucher by used by 3 people to go to one performance? Or does the same person have to use it for 3 different performances?

Melissa M.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Good news! You may use your NSO FlexPass to purchase 1 ticket to three separate performances, 3 tickets to one performance, or a mixture (e.g. 2 tickets to one performance and 1 ticket to another). Each FlexPass is worth 3 concert tickets no matter which combination you choose! Thank you for your question! See you at the Kennedy Center!

More Questions and Answers

Q:

Are FlexPass seats restricted to specific sections (tiers, sides, etc.)? If yes, please indicate areas that are available to choose from, or areas that aren't - whichever is easier.

Carla M.  asked on  Feb 16, 2013

A:

This Groupon is for seats in the prime-orchestra section.

Q:

In order to be able to get several seats together at one performance does one person have to buy all the tickets at the same time? Or can we buy our own flexpass individually and then go to the Kennedy Center together and choose seats together?

Michelle A.  asked on  Feb 14, 2013

A:

Hi! You may certainly all buy your Flexpasses individually. In order to sit together at one performance each person who purchased a pass must go to the Kennedy Center Box Office together at the same time to redeem. Thank you!

Q:

If multiple people would like to buy individual flex passes and sit together, do they need to buy the flex passes at the same time from groupon? Or, do you redeem the passes at the Kennedy Center at the same time? Thank you.

Aguth  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi! In order to sit together you need only redeem your passes at the Kennedy Center Box Office at the same time. You do not need to purchase the actual FlexPasses at the same time. Thank you!

Q:

Can I purchase more than one NSO FlexPass?

William B.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

Hi! The limit is 1 per person, but you may buy multiple additional FlexPasses as gifts. Thank you!

Q:

Is this deal only available for purchase today? Or can be purchased tomorrow if quantities still available?

Deborah F.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi! The NSO FlexPass will be available for purchase until Friday, 2/15, or as long as supplies last. We are very close to selling out of the allotment so purchasing today would be your best bet. It is unlikely any will be available tomorrow. Thank you!

Q:

How do we find out what performances are "special events" - the Kennedy Center website isn't clear about this. I want to go to "Nordic Cool 2013: Iceland Symphony Orchestra: Ilan Volkov, conductor" on March 3 - is that included? Can you tell me which other ones are? Thanks!

Jennifer H.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hi! Unfortunately Nordic Cool 2013 events are not included as options with the NSO FlexPass. A list of available performances for which you can redeem your pass can be found here, beginning with the Feb. 28 concert: http://www.kennedy-center.org/nso/programs/classical/ The NSO FlexPass can only be redeemed for the remaining NSO 2012-2013 Classical concerts. Thank you!

Q:

Can the tickets be exchanged if something comes up & you cannot make it?

Joan K.  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

Hi! Yes, of course! Tickets can be exchanged for any other concerts left in the 2012-2013 NSO Classical season only. Please keep in mind, though, tickets must be exchanged at least 48 hours in advance of the date on the tickets you wish to exchange. Exchange requests received less than 48 hours before the date on the ticket cannot be honored. Thank you!

Q:

If a group of us bought the tickets, can one person go with all the passes to obtain seating together for everyone? Or do we all have to go and get the tickets individually?

Niki K.  asked on  Feb 10, 2013

A:

Hi! Unfortunately, no. Each person who has purchased a FlexPass must present an ID in order to redeem it. Thank you!

Q:

If I get a FlexPass, can I go to the box office and redeem it for one seat, and then separately purchase a second (non-flexpass) seat next to the one I use the FlexPass for?

Tomas L.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hi! Yes, you may certainly purchase an additional full price seat next to your FlexPass seat pending availability. Thank you!

Q:

So I buy the tickets, you send the vouchers to my house then I have to physically come to the Kennedy Center to pick out which performances I want to attend?

Octavia C.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Hi! When you respond to the offer you are purchasing an NSO FlexPass, not actual tickets. You will receive the NSO FlexPass in the mail. In order to redeem this pass for tickets, you must bring it with you to the Kennedy Center Box Office in person. From there you can select your performance(s) and receive your tickets. The FlexPass cannot be redeemed over the phone or online. Thank you!
