What You’ll Do
Chocolate is, by definition, the most important part of a chocolate bar—but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun with some additions. During this two-hour workshop, award-winning chocolatier Julie Bolejack guides you as you create chocolate bars with flavors you select yourself.
Dream Up a Flavor Combination
Choose ingredients from a selection of nuts, gourmet spices, herbs, and other flavors from around the globe.
Build Your Own Bars
Make 4 2-oz. chocolate bars, and bring them home to enjoy later or to give as gifts for the holidays.
Many factors inspired Julie Bolejack to start creating chocolate, but one in particular might surprise you: science. By combining exotic spices, fresh herbs, fruit preserves, nuts, and other premium ingredients with high-quality chocolate, she can conjure up unforgettable, one-of-a-kind flavors. “[You] can create an unlimited number of confections,” she told Indiana Artisan. The founder of Chocolate for the Spirit and an award-winning chocolatier, Bolejack shares her passion by crafting sweets, and by teaching classes that introduce others to the scientific art of chocolate-making.
