What You'll Do

A hand-decorated ceramic plate can not only hold a feast, it can catch the eye. In a 2.5-hour workshop, Katie Netti guides students through the process of painting their own plate using clay earthenware and food-safe gloss glazes.

  • Paint a Ceramic Plate
Pick a 12" square or round handmade ceramic plate, then paint designs from your imagination—or objects from a photograph—with the guidance of a ceramics expert.

  • Learn Artistic Techniques
Hone your skills with paintbrushes, sponges, stencils, and pencils.

  • Welcome Your Artwork Home
Katie fires your piece in a kiln that reaches 1,800 degrees the day after the class and mails it to you once it's cooled.
