Summer Concert Series: Keiko Matsui and Oleta Adams
Keiko Matsui is a Japanese keyboardist who specializes in creating smooth jazz and new-age music using Eastern and Western influences. Her career spans more than four decades, during which she has released 20 albums and several compilations.
Oleta Adams: It’s rare for a debut album to strike gold, but Oleta Adams hit platinum. Since then, the gospel singer—who infuses her music with soul, R&B, and pop—has sold millions of records and toured with everyone from Tears for Fears to Luther Vandross. For good measure, she also recorded a song that became the unofficial anthem of the 1991 Gulf War: “Get Here.”
