What You’ll Do
A little lush greenery always brightens a room, but maintaining a finicky houseplant isn’t always as easy as it seems. That’s where terrariums come in—these miniature ecosystems are as beautiful as they are easy to maintain. After giving a brief history of terrariums and discussing which plants work best, artist Kim Ballesteros shows you that you don’t need a green thumb to turn succulents, soil, and pebbles into living art.

A self-described “crafty chica” and a native Texan, Kim Ballesteros knows her way around a pair of scissors and a glue gun. As the owner of The Crafty Bluebird, she shares her love of creativity during hands-on classes. Students might create button jewelry, terrariums, felt flower pins, cupcake stands, gift baskets, and other treats, leaving not only with their art, but also with the skills to make more at home.
