What You'll Do
Kristie Keenon believes that everyone is an artist. To help nurture the artistic expression, she teaches the fundamentals of portrait painting in small, laid-back workshops. If you come as a couple, you can practice painting each other—or, if you come solo, bring a photo of a friend, loved one, or family member to work from.
Hands-On Painting Workshop
You'll practice painting the person you came with or a photograph of a person special to you.
Kristie will provide you with an 8x10" canvas, oil paint, brushes, and any other supplies you need.
Feel free to bring a bottle of wine; Kristie will have glasses.
Kristie Keenon's career in art began at the age of seven, when she drew her own greeting cards and sold them to neighbors. After she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, she went on for her Master's in Art Education, driven by her belief that "everyone is an artist and should be surrounded by beauty." She regularly exhibits her work and also runs Mission Arts, a nonprofit organization that furthers the role of art education in schools and the local community.
