Philadelphia has long been known as a musical hotspot, with a history of cultivating top talent spanning genres from Latin to R&B to jazz to soul. Under the guidance of singer-songwriter Kyleen Shaw, you'll trace the city's musical history on a crawl to spots where these melodic legacies were forged. Starting at Philadelphia International Records, you'll hear from a representative of the soul-centric label that once signed the likes of The Jacksons and Lou Rawls. You'll then stroll to the famous Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts, where Kyleen joins with a club tour guide in dispensing little-known anecdotes about the space that hosted timeless jazz legends Nina Simone and John Coltrane. The evening ends at one of Kyleen's favorite cafés or jazz clubs, where you can relax and bask in an evening of live music.
